When you start planning your wedding, choosing a photographer is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make! Long after the cake is eaten and the flowers fade, your photos are what remain. With so many talented photographers available, it can be tempting to book someone based solely on style or price. But one factor couples often overlook is local experience. Hiring a Norwood, Sharon, and Walpole wedding photographer who truly knows the area can make a noticeable difference in both your wedding day experience and your final gallery. At Aprea Media, we’ve photographed weddings across Norwood, Sharon, Walpole, MetroWest, and the surrounding Massachusetts area, and we’ve seen firsthand how local knowledge elevates the entire process. Local Venue Knowledge Means Better Photos When your photographer has experience with local Norwood, Sharon, and Walpole wedding venues, it directly impacts how smoothly your day runs and how strong your final images are. Venues in this area each have their own personality, lighting challenges, and flow. A photographer familiar with these spaces knows where to go and when, without wasting time scouting on your wedding day. Some of the well-known venues we photograph in and around Norwood, Sharon, and Walpole include:

Efficient Timelines and Less Stress A photographer familiar with Norwood, Sharon, and Walpole venues and local traffic patterns can help build a realistic wedding day timeline. This is especially important for couples getting married in Norwood, Sharon, Walpole, and nearby towns, where Route 1, Route 95, and local back roads can be unpredictable. Local experience helps with:
Familiarity with Permits and Photo Restrictions Many popular photo locations in Norwood, Sharon, and Walpole require permits or have specific rules for photography. This is especially common in Boston and at historic properties - Trustees and local reservations included. A local wedding photographer will know:

Why Hiring a Professional Wedding Photographer Matters (And How to Choose the Right One) By Aprea Media – Wedding & Event Photography in Massachusetts You may be tempted to cut back on vendors or even your guest count to save money on your wedding day but your wedding day is one of the most meaningful milestones of your life - a day filled with emotion, movement, anticipation, and details you’ve been planning for months (or even years). When the day is over, your photos become the lasting record of every moment you experienced…and many you didn’t even see. That’s why choosing a professional wedding photographer is one of the most important investments you can make in your wedding. As a New England–based wedding photography company, Aprea Media has photographed love stories across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine. Whether it’s a seaside Cape Cod ceremony, a Boston city-chic celebration, or a romantic coastal wedding in Maine, we know how deeply the right photographer can shape your experience - both on the day and in the images you treasure afterward. Here’s why hiring a professional wedding photographer truly matters, and how to choose the right fit for your New England wedding. A bright sunny wedding day at White Cliffs Country Club 1. Your Wedding Day Moves Fast - A Professional Captures What You’ll Miss: Wedding days are filled with fleeting, blink-and-you-miss-it moments: • The way your partner looks at you when you walk toward them • Your parents holding hands during the ceremony • Your best friends wiping away tears during your vows • The laughter, the dancing, the hugs, and the tiny details you worked so hard to plan A professional photographer is trained to anticipate these moments before they even happen. At Aprea Media, we approach each wedding with a mix of documentary storytelling and editorial-style guidance - capturing candid moments as they unfold naturally while giving gentle direction when needed to create beautiful, timeless portraits. Your day deserves to be remembered exactly as it felt, and expert photographers ensure no moment goes unnoticed. 2. Lighting, Weather, and Venues Are Unpredictable - Skill Isn’t: New England is known for its beauty… and its unpredictability. A professional wedding photographer knows how to work in: • bright mid-day sun • dim indoor venues • fog, rain, or snow • historic buildings with low light • seaside wind and changing skies While an amateur might struggle to adjust, a professional comes prepared with experience, gear, and backup plans to adapt effortlessly. At Aprea Media, we are trained to create consistent, true-to-life images in every lighting scenario - from the golden glow of a Newport sunset to the moody elegance of a candlelit Boston ballroom. 3. Your Photographer Should Make the Day Easier - Not Harder: A wedding photographer does far more than take photos. They often become your timeline guide, your calm presence, your creative director, and your personal problem-solver. A professional photographer will: • help you build a seamless photo timeline • keep family portraits organized and efficient • guide you into natural, flattering poses • anticipate potential delays • coordinate with your planner, DJ, and vendors • keep you relaxed in front of the camera At Aprea Media, our goal is to blend beautifully into your day so you can stay present, enjoy every moment, and trust that your memories are being documented naturally and professionally. 4. A Style That Matches Your Vision: Every photographer has a distinct style - editorial, documentary, fine art, true-to-life, moody, airy, or a blend of a few. Choosing the right photographer means choosing someone whose style matches the aesthetic you want for your wedding gallery. Aprea Media specializes in: • True-to-life color that reflects the real tones of your day • Editorial-inspired poses that feel natural and romantic • Authentic storytelling that focuses on candid emotion • Clean, timeless editing that will still look beautiful in 20 years When reviewing a photographer’s portfolio, look for consistency. Your final gallery should reflect both the beauty of the moment and the artistry of the photographer behind the camera. 5. Reliability, Backup Systems, and Professionalism Matter: Your wedding photos are irreplaceable. A professional photographer has workflows in place to ensure your images are safe from the moment they’re taken. At Aprea Media, every wedding includes: • Two dual-cameras recording to two memory cards. • redundant backups immediately after your wedding (sneak peeks sent within 24 hours). • secure file storage 2 months post delivery. • professional equipment and backups for every piece of gear. • contracts that protect you and guarantee service as well as fully insured! This level of safeguarding is not something hobbyists or inexperienced photographers can offer - and it’s crucial for peace of mind. 6. Choosing the Right Photographer for Your New England Wedding: Here’s what to look for when making your decision: ✓ Portfolio Consistency: Do you love the colors, lighting, and emotion in their galleries? ✓ Experience at Similar Venues: Ask if they’ve photographed in your style of venue - waterfront, ballroom, barn, garden, or historic estate. It doesn't have to be your exact venue but somewhere that will replicate the lighting and style. ✓ Personality and Energy: You spend more time with your photographer than almost anyone else on your wedding day. Make sure the connection feels natural and comfortable! ✓ Customizable Packages: Your day is unique - your coverage should be too. Aprea Media offers fully customizable wedding photography packages so couples can choose their hours and engagement session based on their priorities. ✓ Professional Workflow: Contracts, clear communication, timelines, and backup systems are essential. 7. Your Wedding Photos Are an Investment - Not an Expense: Long after the flowers fade and the champagne is gone, your images stay with you. They become your family heirlooms - the pictures your children and grandchildren will someday treasure. A professional wedding photographer doesn’t just show up with a camera. They bring years of experience, creative vision, technical mastery, and emotional intuition into every moment they capture. Your story deserves that level of care! Plan Your New England Wedding Photography With Aprea Media:

Amanda & Bobby’s Newport Naval Officer’s Club Reception September 7, 2025 | Newport, Rhode Island Amanda and Bobby’s wedding story continued this September with a beautiful reception at the Newport Naval Officer’s Club, and it felt like the perfect sequel to their intimate June ceremony in Newton. While their first celebration focused on family, faith, and the quiet beauty of a Sunday afternoon vows, their Newport reception brought together vibrant cultural traditions, heartfelt moments, and one of the most unforgettable sunsets I have ever seen. Their reception day began under gray skies as steady rain settled over the base. Newport is known for its sweeping coastal views and endless photo opportunities, and we had all hoped to use the large lawn overlooking the water. But like many New England weddings, the weather had its own plans. What could have been a disappointment turned into a beautiful reminder that joy doesn’t weather-check itself. Amanda and Bobby took it all in stride, smiling, laughing, and fully embracing the cozy, romantic feel the rain brought to the day. Despite the weather, Naval Station Newport provided stunning backdrops for their portraits. The deck overlooking the water gave us shelter, and even on a rainy afternoon the view was classic Newport. The base sits on the west side of Aquidneck Island and offers one of the most iconic perspectives of the Newport Bridge. From this vantage point, you can see the bridge stretching across Narragansett Bay with the Naval War College standing proudly nearby. The bridge is visible from many parts of the station, and even on a cloudy day it remains a breathtaking landmark. It’s no wonder this perspective is one of the most photographed scenes on the base - especially at sunset. And, almost magically, sunset delivered. Just when we had accepted that the rain would rule the day, the clouds parted at the perfect moment. A warm glow broke through, casting golden light across the bay and painting the Newport Bridge in hues of pink, orange, and lavender. It was the kind of sunset you remember for years—the kind that feels like a reward for patience. Amanda and Bobby stepped onto the deck once more, and the light wrapped around them in a way that felt meant to be. What started as a rainy, gray day transformed into something extraordinary. Inside the Officer’s Club, guests were treated to an evening that beautifully celebrated both Amanda’s and Bobby’s cultures. They planned an Indian and Polish fusion reception that felt joyful, colorful, and wonderfully personal. One of the standout moments was the Bali dance performance, which filled the room with movement, rhythm, and such vibrant energy that every guest was captivated. The evening’s menu blended flavors from both of their backgrounds, offering dishes that honored where they each come from. And of course, there was the famous mango lassi - rich, creamy, sweet, and an instant hit with everyone who tried it. Because this reception was the continuation of their wedding celebration, the events of the night were heartfelt and intentional. Amanda and Bobby shared a beautiful first dance, swaying together under soft lights with the glow of Narragansett Bay behind them. Their connection is gentle and steady, and moments like this always bring that out in such a natural way. The speeches were thoughtful and emotional, with family and friends sharing stories, blessings, and words that made it clear just how loved this couple is. Amanda and Bobby have a quiet strength as a pair, and it was touching to see how everyone around them recognizes and admires that. One of the sweetest parts of the evening came during their cake cutting. Instead of keeping the moment just between the two of them, they included their parents in the celebration. It was a small gesture that meant so much - a sign of gratitude, legacy, and the blending of two families. Moments like these are the heart of wedding photography: simple, sincere, and full of meaning. As the night went on, the dance floor filled with energy and laughter. Guests celebrated freely, and Amanda and Bobby radiated happiness the entire time. Being able to see them again after photographing their intimate ceremony in June felt like such a joy. Watching their wedding story evolve from a quiet church basement to a vibrant Newport celebration was truly special.
Despite the rain, despite the unexpected changes, their reception was nothing short of beautiful. The sunset felt like a gift, the cultural fusion brought life to every moment, and the love between Amanda and Bobby shone just as brightly as it did the day they said their vows. Being there for both chapters of their wedding journey was an honor, and we are so grateful to have captured these moments for them. From Newton to Newport, their love story has been filled with grace, warmth, and unforgettable beauty. Vendors Photography: Aprea Media Reception Venue: Newport Naval Officer’s Club, Naval Station Newport, RI Ceremony: Evangelical Baptist Church, Newton, MA Jenna & Gavin’s Summer Wedding at White Cliffs Country Club Plymouth, Massachusetts • August 3, 2025 Jenna and Gavin’s wedding day was the kind of Cape Cod summer celebration every couple dreams about, with sunny blue skies, ocean views, and pure joy from beginning to end. Their story with Aprea Media began in a unique way because we hadn’t had the chance to meet them beforehand. They had been living in Hawaii and moved back home shortly before the wedding for school and family. The moment we walked into the getting-ready space, it felt instantly comfortable, as if we had known them for years! Our day started in Falmouth at Jenna’s family home on the Cape. There is something so special about getting ready in a place filled with childhood memories. The house was full of happy energy with music playing, bridesmaids laughing, and loved ones popping in to say hello. One of the most heartfelt moments was Jenna and Gavin’s first look on their private dock, surrounded by shimmering water and warm sunshine. It was emotional, intimate, and the perfect way to start their day together. From Falmouth, we made our way to White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth, a breathtaking waterfront venue known for its dramatic cliffs, private beach, and sweeping views of Cape Cod Bay. Couples love White Cliffs for its serene coastal setting, the iconic staircase and tram that lead down to the shoreline, and the way the entire property feels tucked away while still being incredibly accessible for guests. Wedding ceremonies typically take place atop the cliffs with panoramic ocean views, and sunset portraits here are always spectacular. On this particular day, with its bright blue sky and warm sunshine, the whole scene resembled something straight out of Malibu Beach. After their ceremony overlooking the ocean, we hopped onto the venue’s tiny tram to head down to the beach. The tram only fits four people which included the couple, the tram operator, and me as their photographer. The short ride down gave us a quiet moment before stepping onto the sand for their portraits. Between the soft breeze, the light reflecting off the water, and the way these two smiled at each other, everything aligned for perfect beach photos! Their cocktail hour was full of classic New England charm. Guests enjoyed fresh oysters while soaking in those unbeatable coastal views. Later in the evening, Jenna and Gavin chose a unique twist for their wedding cake by serving a cheesecake topped with fresh, delicious fruits. It was a beautiful and personal choice that fit their relaxed, summer-by-the-ocean celebration perfectly. The entire day felt easy, joyful, and filled with love. Jenna and Gavin’s wedding was truly magical, and it was an honor to capture their story, their families, and all the moments that made August 3rd unforgettable!
Exciting News: We’re Featured on the Newly Relaunched Carats & Cake! We’re thrilled to share that Aprea Media is one of the very first vendors to have a newly updated professional listing on Carats & Cake, a wedding platform that’s undergoing a major transformation—and we are here for it. Under new ownership, Carats & Cake is positioning itself as a modern, vendor-first alternative to the “big box” wedding websites, and we’re incredibly excited to be part of its fresh direction. What Is Carats & Cake? Carats & Cake started as a beautifully curated wedding inspiration platform, featuring real weddings with top-tier vendor teams. It’s long been known for its editorial quality and elevated aesthetic. But now, it’s evolving into something even more powerful: a thoughtfully designed vendor network that connects couples with professionals without sacrificing personality, professionalism, or privacy. The team behind the relaunch is made up of wedding industry veterans who understand the unique needs of vendors and couples. Their goal? To create a platform that actually helps people find the right fit—not just whoever paid the most for top placement. It’s a refreshing take in a space that’s long been dominated by algorithms, auto-responders, and confusing pay-to-play systems. How It’s Different from The Knot, WeddingWire, and Zola: If you’ve planned a wedding—or work in the industry—you know how frustrating traditional vendor platforms can be. The Knot and WeddingWire (which are now one company) prioritize mass exposure, but their listings often blur together. Customization is limited, and couples can quickly get overwhelmed by endless, repetitive listings that all start to sound the same. And then there’s Zola. Once an innovative registry platform, Zola has expanded into the vendor directory space—but not in a way that’s helped businesses like ours. In fact, Zola’s lead system has crushed our ability to connect with real couples. Instead of receiving genuine inquiries, we get hit with impersonal, auto-generated messages like “Hello, are you available?”—messages that often lead nowhere. As wedding professionals, we pour our hearts into what we do. We want to connect with couples who care about that, who want to work with people they trust—not just someone who fits an algorithm. Carats & Cake is building a space where that kind of connection is possible. A Better Experience—for Everyone
With the relaunch, Carats & Cake is focused on making sure vendors shine and that couples get access to clear, inspiring, and truly helpful information. The platform allows for more editorial-style listings, so instead of just a bullet list of services, couples can really get a sense of who we are, what we do, and why we love doing it. We’re hopeful that this new direction will foster more meaningful conversations and better matches—not just more “leads” but the right leads. At Aprea Media, we specialize in wedding photography that captures all the authentic, candid moments that make your day yours. As a husband-and-wife team, we know how personal this journey is, and we believe your wedding vendor search should feel the same way. We’re proud to be among the first wave of professionals featured in Carats & Cake’s updated vendor directory. It feels like the beginning of something that’s going to make a real difference in the wedding world, both for engaged couples and for those of us who work behind the scenes to make it all happen. If you’re planning a wedding and looking for a vendor experience that feels intentional, stylish, and human—give Carats & Cake a look. And check out our listing while you’re there! Here’s to new beginnings—and better wedding planning for everyone. Molly & Fed’s Rainy Day Wedding at The Coachman’s Lodge Bellingham, Massachusetts Rain on your wedding day may not be everyone’s dream forecast — but for Molly & Fed, it turned out to be the kind of cozy, joy-filled day that we'll be smiling about for a long time. From the very beginning, their wedding was filled with warmth, laughter, and a deep sense of purpose, and we were honored to capture every moment. These two got ready at the same hotel, just a few rooms apart — which, from a photography perspective, is such a gift. Instead of splitting up and driving in separate directions, our team was able to take one car, plan together, and arrive at the venue with a clear game plan. Little things like that always help the day flow more smoothly, especially when weather throws in an extra variable or two! Despite the chilly rain, spirits were high from the start. Molly & Fed arrived at The Coachman’s Lodge in separate shuttles, giving us a chance to scout their first look location and prepare the space. Molly chose the front room of the lodge, with its stunning stone fireplace, as the perfect intimate setting for that moment. These two saw each other for the first time that day surrounded by warm wood tones, soft light, and quiet excitement. After their emotional first look, they exchanged private vows — one of our favorite trends for couples who want a few meaningful moments to themselves before the ceremony. The rain let up just in time for portraits, and we took full advantage! With a little patience and some quick decision-making, we were able to do both their couple portraits and full bridal party portraits outside. The overcast sky actually made for some truly beautiful lighting, and the grounds at The Coachman’s Lodge offered lush greenery and charming backdrops everywhere we turned. The ceremony was originally planned for an outdoor space, and we have to give major credit to the staff and coordinator, Danny, for how seamlessly they pivoted the plan. The ceremony was moved under a beautiful arbor-covered area surrounded by thriving plants and soft florals. It was still outside — airy and light — but kept every guest completely dry and comfortable. The lighting was absolutely dreamy, and the vibe was romantic and relaxed. After the ceremony, we quickly finished up the remaining family and bridal party portraits, making sure Molly & Fed had plenty of time to enjoy their cocktail hour. That balance — giving our couples great images and letting them soak in time with loved ones — is always our top priority. The rest of the evening flowed with ease. Introductions and the first dance were joyful and full of personality, and the food? Absolutely incredible! One thing we always notice and appreciate as wedding vendors is when a venue treats everyone — guests, staff, and vendors alike — with respect. The Coachman’s Lodge stood out to us for so many reasons, but especially for how smoothly they ran their timeline and how thoughtful they were about our team. As photographers, we often hit the 7-hour mark right around dinner time — and when we’re fed at the same time as the couple, it means we’re able to stay ready for speeches, candids, and other key moments without missing a beat. The team at The Coachman’s Lodge made sure we were well taken care of, and it didn’t go unnoticed. We would truly love to work there again! Beyond the beauty of the day and the professionalism of the team, what we’ll remember most is the people. Molly & Fed are the kind of couple that remind you why you do this work. Both work in education and advocacy, and their passion and kindness showed in every interaction — not just with us, but with everyone around them. Their love was reflected in the thoughtfulness of their timeline, the way they cared for their guests, and in how clearly their friends and family adore them. There was also a deeper layer of emotion felt throughout the day — Fed’s family from Haiti couldn’t attend due to the ongoing travel ban. It was clear how much their presence was missed. We made sure to prioritize portraits with the family who could be present, and every image from that part of the day carries extra weight. It was a reminder that weddings are about more than logistics and portraits — they’re about legacy, connection, and honoring the ones we hold closest. Molly & Fed, thank you for inviting us to be part of your day. You made it so easy to document your love — your joy was effortless, your trust meant the world to us, and your story will stay with us. We’re wishing you nothing but the best in your next chapter!

Sadie’s bridal look was classic and elegant, and her calm presence made the whole space feel peaceful. Her hair was styled by the talented @courtneysauer, and her makeup was flawlessly done by @hairbyashleymcfarland—a true glam dream team. The energy in the room was full of laughter and excitement, and you could tell everyone was just genuinely happy to be there celebrating her. One of our favorite parts of any wedding morning is photographing the little things—heirloom jewelry, handwritten vows, the textures of lace and satin, and the quiet in-between moments that set the tone for the day. Sadie’s details were beautifully curated and so full of personality. Ceremony at Church of Saint Mary on BroadwaySome weddings feel like pure magic. Some weddings hit you in the heart a little deeper. And then there are weddings like Sadie and Adam’s—where both are true, and you also get the joy and honor of photographing a beloved family member. This day was incredibly special to us because the bride is not only one of our amazing clients—she’s also our niece. Watching her walk down the aisle and capturing every meaningful moment was something we’ll never forget. Sadie and Adam were married on a warm early summer day in Providence, Rhode Island, with their ceremony held at the historic Church of Saint Mary on Broadway. This stunning Gothic Revival church is one of the most beautiful in the area, with its soaring ceilings, intricate stained glass, and reverent atmosphere that made the ceremony feel both sacred and deeply personal. After their heartfelt "I do's," we stepped outside with their family for portraits—just in time. The skies opened up moments later, and the rain came pouring down, which, as tradition says, brings good luck on a wedding day. (And honestly, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect!) A Ceremony Full of Heart: The Church of Saint Mary on Broadway was the perfect setting for Sadie and Adam’s ceremony. Stepping into this church feels like stepping into a different time—it’s grand and majestic but still warm and inviting. The light filtering through the stained glass gave everything a soft, golden glow, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house during the vows. It was a deeply spiritual ceremony, grounded in faith and family, with music and moments that truly reflected who they are as a couple. Portraits + Perfect TimingAfter the ceremony, we took portraits right outside the church with family and the wedding party. The rain held off just long enough for us to wrap up, and while we’re always ready for a backup plan, we’ll never say no to a bit of good timing! As the drops started to fall, it only added to the atmosphere—there’s something cozy and romantic about a summer rain. And rain on a wedding day? That’s just Mother Nature’s way of blessing the marriage. A Warm + Joyful Reception at Cucina RusticaFrom there, the party moved to Cucina Rustica, a charming and cozy Italian restaurant in Johnston, RI. The intimate atmosphere, incredible food, and welcoming staff made it the perfect space to celebrate with their closest friends and family. The reception was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and a first dance that melted our hearts. Sadie and Adam twirled across the dance floor like they were the only two people in the room. It was a beautiful reminder of why we love what we do—these small but monumental moments of joy that are gone in a flash but preserved forever in photos. The cake, created by @frontlinecafebakery, was as beautiful as it was delicious, and the cutting moment got the whole crowd cheering. Every detail felt intentional and full of love—from the floral touches to the music to the way Sadie and Adam lit up every room they walked into. A Season to Remember: Sadie and Adam’s wedding was one of the highlights of our Spring and early Summer season—not just because of the beautiful locations and stunning portraits, but because it reminded us why we love photographing weddings in the first place. There’s something so special about being entrusted to document these once-in-a-lifetime days, and it means even more when it’s someone you love. Now that all of our Spring and early Summer galleries have officially been delivered (yes, finally caught up for the first time since March!), we’re taking a little time to rest and recharge before we jump into our busiest stretch of the year. From August through November, we’ve got a full calendar of amazing weddings we can’t wait to capture—but we do still have a few open dates for last-minute celebrations or elopements. So if you’re planning something soon, we’d love to hear from you! To Sadie and Adam—thank you for trusting us with your memories. We love you both and are so happy we got to be part of your beginning 💛 VENDOR TEAM
Cake – @frontlinecafebakery Reception – @cucinarusticari Hair – @courtneysauer Makeup – @hairbyashleymcfarland Evangelical Baptist Church Wedding | June 8, 2025There’s something incredibly special about a wedding that focuses on the heart of what truly matters—family, faith, and love. Amanda and Bobby’s intimate ceremony at the Evangelical Baptist Church in Newton, Massachusetts, was a beautiful example of just that. Held on a sunny Sunday afternoon in early June, their wedding was quiet, meaningful, and overflowing with warmth. Rather than hosting a large celebration right away, Amanda and Bobby chose to have a small, private ceremony surrounded by their closest family, friends, and church community. The decision felt intentional and personal—reflecting their values and their deep connection to the place where they’ve built their life together. The Evangelical Baptist Church, where the ceremony was held, is not just any venue to them—it’s their spiritual home. The timing was also unique: the service took place just after Sunday worship, adding a layer of spiritual significance and familiarity to the day. Amanda prepared for the ceremony in the church’s basement, which was transformed into a cozy getting-ready space with the help of her family. Her two sisters, parents, nieces, and Bobby’s daughter all gathered around to help her get ready. There was laughter, lots of sweet moments, and the kind of gentle chaos that makes a wedding morning feel alive. Watching Amanda with her nieces and Bobby’s daughter emphasized how deeply this union is rooted in family. Her chapel-length veil took the most time and patience to place—there were several attempts to get it just right, and everyone pitched in to make sure it looked perfect. One of the most touching parts of the day came just before Amanda walked down the aisle. Bobby had sent a heartfelt letter and a pair of elegant earrings as a gift, delivered by his daughter. It was such a thoughtful surprise, and it brought tears to Amanda’s eyes. The earrings were delicate and sparkled just enough to catch the light during their vows—perfect for the occasion. The ceremony itself was short and sweet, but every word carried weight. It was clear how much Amanda and Bobby care for each other. The way they looked at one another, the gentle smiles exchanged, and the calm presence they brought into the space made the entire room feel grounded in love. The church sanctuary was filled with warmth—both from the June sun streaming through the windows and from the quiet joy shared by everyone present. After the ceremony, we stepped outside for family portraits. The weather could not have been more perfect—clear skies, soft light, and a comfortable breeze. It made for a relaxed and happy photo session. Amanda and Bobby were surrounded by so much love, and it was clear how much their families adore them. There’s a certain ease to photographing couples like this—people who are naturally affectionate, who laugh easily, and who genuinely enjoy being together. Following the portraits, the couple shared a cake cutting with their church congregation. It was a simple, sweet gesture that made everyone feel included in the celebration. And in a nod to their personal taste, Bobby had arranged for samosas to be served as well—a detail that felt joyful and unexpected and showed how much thought they had put into sharing a part of themselves with their guests. What stood out most about Amanda and Bobby’s wedding was the intention behind every detail. Even though the celebration was brief—just two hours together—it was full of meaning. Every interaction, every quiet moment felt real and heartfelt. There was no rushing, no fuss, just a sense of calm, steady love and deep appreciation for the people surrounding them.
Amanda and Bobby are planning a larger reception this fall at the Naval Base in Newport, Rhode Island, where they’ll celebrate with a wider circle of friends and extended family. That will be part two of their love story—and we’re so looking forward to capturing the next chapter. But there’s something timeless about this first celebration: the simplicity, the closeness, and the way it was woven into the rhythms of a regular Sunday at church. It’s a reminder that weddings don’t need to be grand to be meaningful. Sometimes, all it takes is a sunny afternoon, a small group of loved ones, and the promise of forever. Vendors Photography: Aprea Media Ceremony Venue: Evangelical Baptist Church, Newton, MA Reception (coming this fall): Newport Naval Base Sailing Into Forever: Casey & Dongho’s Sunny May Wedding Aboard the Lexington On May 3, 2025, Casey and Dongho brought their closest family and friends together for a joyful, sun-soaked wedding celebration on Boston Harbor—aboard the Lexington, the Charles Riverboat Company’s largest and most charming paddle wheel vessel. Against the odds of a rainy forecast, the skies stayed clear and bright throughout the day, setting the stage for a truly magical afternoon on the water. From Travel to “I Do” Casey and Dongho’s love story began with a shared spirit of adventure. They met while traveling—one of those serendipitous moments that turns a trip into a life-changing memory. Dongho is originally from South Korea, and his family traveled to Boston to celebrate alongside the couple. His wonderful mother wore a beautiful hanbok, a traditional Korean dress that added a meaningful and elegant cultural touch to the day. Aboard the Lexington: Boston’s Most Unique Wedding Venue Departing from Rowes Wharf, the Lexington is a 75-foot, two-level paddle wheel boat that cruises Boston Harbor with both style and spaciousness. It offers the best of both worlds—an open-air upper deck with stunning views of the city skyline and a cozy, elegant interior level perfect for dining and dancing. The late morning ceremony and early afternoon reception allowed guests to enjoy the harbor at its most vibrant, bathed in golden spring light. The Charles Riverboat staff, as always, went above and beyond. We love photographing weddings with them—their coordination is seamless, and they bring such a welcoming energy to every event. It’s no surprise that Lexington weddings have become some of our favorites (we have one more here this fall)! A Sweet & Sunny Ceremony Although rain had been in the forecast, the sun had other plans. The entire celebration took place under bright, blue skies. Because it was so sunny, we opted to photograph Casey and Dongho’s family portraits in the shaded areas near the wharf before boarding. It ended up being the perfect solution—soft, flattering light and a relaxed moment before the festivities began. Their ceremony was short, sweet, and filled with personality. A close friend officiated, creating a warm, familiar tone that had everyone smiling. The vows were heartfelt, and Dongho had the whole crowd laughing at one point—his sense of humor and charm coming through effortlessly. The couple’s joy was palpable, and being surrounded by the sparkling harbor only made it more special. Cocktails, Skyline Views & Heartfelt Speeches After the ceremony, guests were treated to cocktails on the upper deck. The gentle breeze, panoramic city views, and clinking of glasses made for an atmosphere that was both elegant and completely relaxed. The Lexington feels spacious even with a full guest list, giving everyone room to move, mingle, and enjoy. As the boat cruised through the harbor, friends and family gave heartfelt toasts that spoke to Casey and Dongho’s connection, kindness, and journey together. There were moments of laughter, happy tears, and quiet reflection—all the things that make weddings feel personal and profound. A Feast on the Water Casey and Dongho chose a buffet-style reception catered by Johnny Burke Catering Company, who, as always, delivered an incredible spread. The buffet was both approachable and elevated, with something for everyone. It allowed guests to enjoy their meal at their own pace, keeping the mood easy and celebratory. Dessert was especially memorable—a perfect pairing of local flavor and sweet indulgence. Guests enjoyed mini Boston cream pies (because what’s more fitting than that on the harbor?) and little cannolis that disappeared quickly. It was the kind of dessert table that had people sneaking back for seconds (and we don’t blame them). A First Dance to Remember Casey and Dongho’s first dance was anything but traditional—it was fun, lively, and had everyone clapping along. It felt like a true reflection of them: full of joy, slightly unexpected, and completely in the moment. With the sun still shining and the city glimmering in the distance, it was one of those moments you don’t forget. We will personally never forget Casey surprising her mom with a Mother-Daughter dance! Talk about emotional! As the dance floor opened up, guests moved between decks, enjoying the music, the views, and the final golden hour light. It wasn’t until the celebration wound down and everyone was disembarking that the first drops of rain finally started to fall. Talk about perfect timing. A Boston Harbor Wedding Done Right
Every detail of this wedding—sunshine that beat the forecast, a meaningful ceremony, delicious food, and dancing under the sky—came together beautifully aboard the Lexington. The Charles Riverboat Company team made everything flow so smoothly, from docking logistics to service on board. We can’t say enough good things about this venue or their staff—they truly help make the magic happen. Casey and Dongho’s wedding was a joyful celebration of love, family, culture, and connection. It was an honor to capture every moment—from the quiet anticipation on the dock to the laughter during speeches to the vibrant dance floor energy. It’s weddings like these that remind us how special it is to tell a couple’s story. Congratulations, Casey and Dongho—your day was as bright, beautiful, and full of life as your love. Daynna & Mike’s Wedding at Grazina: A Celebration 18 Years in the Making On April 18th, 2025, under the golden light of a Friday afternoon, Daynna and Mike finally said “I do” after 18 incredible years together. Their wedding day at Grazina Event Venue in Norwood, MA wasn’t about tradition—it was about celebrating the life they’ve already built together, surrounded by their closest friends and family. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this wasn’t just a wedding—it was a long-awaited party full of laughter, dancing, heartfelt moments, and some of the best hors d'oeuvres we’ve ever tasted. Getting Ready at the Four Points Norwood Our afternoon started just a few minutes from home, which is always such a gift. Daynna got ready at the Four Points by Sheraton in Norwood, and I was immediately struck by how beautiful and calm the space was. She was surrounded by her mother and sister - the atmosphere was warm, supportive, and full of anticipation! The natural light pouring into the room was perfect for capturing those quiet, joyful getting-ready moments—zipping up the dress, final makeup touches, and the calm before the celebration officially began. The hotel itself is so well-designed for weddings: clean lines, spacious suites, and a sense of ease that matched Daynna’s vibe completely. She was radiant, and there was a quiet excitement in the air—not nerves, but something closer to gratitude. After all, this day had been years in the making. Grazina: A Hidden Gem in Norwood Grazina Event Venue felt like the perfect space for Daynna and Mike’s vision. Sleek, modern, and filled with light, it’s one of those places that doesn’t need much dressing up. It has that warm feeling in an old mill space with warm brick walls and industrial lights. They kept it simple—letting the love in the room (and the energy of the guests!) bring everything to life. What made this wedding so memorable wasn’t just the location, but how comfortable everything felt. Because the couple lives locally, everything was within easy driving distance. No long commutes or last-minute logistics—just a smooth, seamless transition from getting ready to celebration. It allowed everyone, including us as their photo team, to focus on the joy of the day instead of the schedule. A Ceremony With Heart—and Hors d’Oeuvres! In true non-traditional fashion, cocktail hour began before the ceremony even started. Guests sipped drinks, mingled, and nibbled on delicious passed hors d’oeuvres as they waited for the couple to walk down the aisle. It was a refreshing change of pace—laid back, intentional, and full of love. Daynna and Mike’s ceremony was short, sweet, and sincere. Standing in front of the people who have walked alongside them for nearly two decades, they made it official with a kiss and smiles that said it all. No elaborate rituals, no frills—just the real, beautiful commitment between two people who know exactly what it means to choose each other, every single day. The Food (Let’s Talk About the Food) We’d be remiss not to mention the food because… wow. The entire evening was full of incredible small bites that never stopped coming. It was the kind of meal that keeps guests coming back for more between songs on the dance floor. But the standout? The stuffed mushrooms. Truly unforgettable. Flavorful, perfectly cooked, and the ideal balance of comfort food and elevated cuisine. It’s rare for us to rave about a specific appetizer, but these mushrooms deserve their own spotlight. Even our team couldn’t stop talking about them the next day! A Night of Connection The evening was full of everything you hope for as a wedding photographer—genuine hugs, joyful reunions, and dance moves that didn’t quit. The reception felt more like a family reunion than a formal wedding, which speaks volumes to the kind of community Daynna and Mike have built around them. You could feel the love in every toast, every embrace, and every step on the dance floor. Speeches were short but packed with sentiment, and the guests clearly knew how to celebrate. There was no stuffy formality—just an open dance floor, an open bar, and a full heart in every corner of the room. A Note From Us
Photographing Daynna and Mike’s wedding was a reminder of what weddings are really about. It’s not about the latest trends or the perfect weather (though we were lucky enough to have sunshine for most of the day). It’s about two people finally taking a moment to honor the life they’ve built and the people who helped them get there. It’s about laughter, ease, and saying yes in a way that feels perfectly true to you. We loved that this wedding took place so close to home. There’s something special about celebrating local love, in local venues, with a couple who feel like instant friends. Daynna and Mike, thank you for trusting us to capture such a meaningful chapter in your story. Your love is strong, steady, and joyfully contagious. We were honored to be a part of your day. Wishing you a lifetime of dancing, delicious appetizers, and the kind of love that only gets better with time. 💛 If you're local to Norwood, Massachusetts and this is your vibe then we would love to be a part of your wedding day! Grazina is a perfect mix of old mill style, boho and class! You cannot go wrong! |
